Who is EFFIGY?

Steve Lane – Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals

Steve’s experience and obvious talent shines through with every performance, giving EFFIGY the leverage of skilled, consistent guitar work that rivals the power and punch of the original artist on every song.

Todd Proctor – Drums, Percussion, and Backing Vocals

Jim Mason – Bass Guitar and Backing Vocals

Effigy guitarist Steve LaneJim Mason is a cover band veteran who began playing bass over 30 years ago.

Jim has performed with groups in Virginia, Florida, and North Carolina. You may have seen him perform with the band Reactor, a Raleigh area cover band which was crowned the 96 Rock House Band back in 1998.

Jim has found influences in many different bands, musicians, instruments, sounds, and rhythms but freely admits that the band RUSH has had the most impact on him.

A self-proclaimed “geek” he is as at home with the technology side of music as he is with playing but says there is nothing like being on stage.

Jim became part of the Effigy Brotherhood in the summer of 2011 and hit the ground running, bringing a new level of energy to the band and locking down the low end show after show.
